New Report on Safe Sleep Products

Infant in-bed sleepers have caused at least 12 deaths from 2012-2018. These include DockATot, Baby Delight Snuggle Nest Infant Sleeper and SwaddleMe. In-bed sleepers are not regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and do not have their own federal safety standards. They have soft padding and soft surfaces and block airflow to a baby’s face when coming into contact with the fabric. It also encourages co-sleeping which is known to increase the risk of SIDS.
